Minutes of the meeting of the South Community Assembly held on 1st October, 2009.
 

6.         Public Questions And Petitions

To receive any questions or petitions from members of the public.
 

7.         South Community Assembly Discretionary Budget

Report of the South Community Assembly Manager on the proposed allocation of the remaining part of the 2009/10 Discretionary Budget, towards priorities identified in the Community Plan.
 

8.         South Community Assembly Climate Change Fund

Report of the South Community Assembly Manager on the proposed allocation of the Climate Change Fund.
 

9.         South Community Assembly Highways Budget

Report of the South Community Assembly Manager on the proposed allocation of the remaining part of the 2009/10 Highways Budget.
 

10.       Section 106 (Open Space) Allocations

Report of the South Community Assembly Manager on the proposed allocation of two Section 106 contributions.
 

11.       Hemsworth School Site

Report of the South Community Assembly Manager on the proposed allocation of Community Contribution funds received from Henry Boots.
 

12.       Date Of Next Meeting

Thursday 25th March 2010, 6.30pm at Norton Free School, Matthews Lane.

The funding identified in this report will contribute to the delivery of the priorities in the South Community Plan, thus benefiting residents in the South Community Assembly Area.  (216 KB)

The South Community Assembly has a Climate Change Fund budget of £50,000 for 2009/10.  This funding was launched at the last Community Assembly Meeting on Thursday 1st October 2009.  The closing date for this funding was Friday 13th November 2009.  (154 KB)

Community Assemblies have each been allocated £100,000 from the Council’s Local Transport Plan budget, an extension of the process previously used by Area Panels to provide “small schemes” such as dropped kerbs, street nameplates etc.  (102 KB)

Following a protocol agreed by the former Area Panels the Community Assemblies have been tasked with recommending where Section 106 monies generated from local development is allocated.  (754 KB)

The former Hemsworth School site on Gleadless Valley has been vacant for over 5 years. In 2008 responsibility for the land was transferred from the Children and Young People Portfolio to the Housing Independence Service within the Communities Portfolio.  (1.25 MB)
